Stadler, Jacobsen among first players committing to Boeing Championship (January 2007)

Craig Stadler and Peter Jacobsen head a list of nine players who have made commitments to the Champions Tour event set for May 28-June 3 at the Raven Golf Club.

The tournament also got commitments from six former champions, including Bobby Wadkins, who opened with a brilliant 62 and held on to win last year’s title by one shot.

Jim Thorpe, the 2005 champion, Tom Jenkins (2004), Dave Eichelberger (2002), Mike McCullough (2001) and Dana Quigley (1998) are also returning.

The final commitment came from Allen Doyle, the winner of the last two U.S. Senior Open championships.
